GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Florida State announced their 2022 football schedule on Monday. The Gators-Seminole game is scheduled for Friday evening, Nov. 25, on prime-time television. at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak S. Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.
Television rights to FSU home games are governed by ACC media agreements. The 2023 game in Gainesville, controlled by SEC television contracts, will return to the Saturday following Thanksgiving.
The last regular season game with the Gators not a saturday was in the state of Mississippi on Thursday, October 1, 1992.
The date will also be the Gators’ first Friday night regular season game since 1961, when they beat Tulane 14-3 at New Orleans.
The game will mark the 66th meeting between the two teams in the national rivalry that dates back to 1958. Florida leads the series 37-26-2, having beaten the Seminoles 24-21 inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium last year. last.
