THREE DEACONS DEACONS OF THE WAKE FOREST TO WATCH
Sam Hartman, QB: Having had a draw with three interceptions against NC State, Sam Hartman still managed to put together a solid outing with 290 yards and three touchdowns on 20 pitches against 47.
Nick Sciba, K: All but one of the Clemson ACC games have ended in a scoreline, so Nick Sciba will be key if a field goal is needed late for the Deacs. Award semi-finalist Lou Groza leads the ACC in scoring baskets with 16 in 18 attempts at the start of Week 10, two more than Clemson kicker BT Potter.
To Perry, WR: As Hartman’s primary target, AT Perry caught five passes for 73 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter of the Demon Deacons game against NC State. He is among the top five receivers in the conference with 991 receiving yards during the year.
THREE CLEMSON TIGERS TO WATCH OUT FOR
Myles Murphy, DL: With injuries plaguing the Tigers’ defensive line, Myles Murphy has managed to stay healthy and has been an anchor for the squad. He had three tackles, 1 ½ sacks and a forced fumble over the weekend.
Trenton Simpson, LB: The second year continued to improve as the season progressed and raised the temperature in the later stages of the season. Against UConn, he totaled four tackles and one quarterback sack.
DJ Uiagalelei, QB: While Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney said DJ Uiagalelei was not suffering from a knee injury suffered against Louisville, the sophomore struggled early against UConn but managed to throw for 241 yards with an interception and a touchdown.
